Pathaan

The action sequences are the soul of Pathaan. Be it the confrontation scenes between John Abraham’s character and Shah Rukh Khan’s character involving helicopters or the rescue scene involving Salman Khan, involving the derailment of a train, everything is world class. You can watch the action set pieces on a loop all day and not get bored.

Tiger 3

Tiger 3 has several imaginatively shot action sequences. The cherry on the cake, of course, is the detailed rescue op scene involving Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, which has everything from a motorcycle, rocket launchers, train to helicopters in the fray. Then the towel fight sequence involving Katrina Kaif came in for a lot of praise as well.

Sam Bahadur

Sam Bahadur is based on the life of Sam Manekshaw, one of our greatest generals. He took parts in various wars and looking at the film, you feel like you’re actually in the thick of action. It all seems so real. Authentic guns and tanks have been used to replicate history. It’s a great piece of action choreography, alright.

Gadar 2

Director Anil Sharma famously said that he doesn’t believe in using computer simulation when it comes to action. So, the over-the-top action sequences that must have been witnessed in Gadar owe much to the bravery of the fall guys who took part in the action and made sure you got your money’s worth.

Jawan

The action in Jawan was extraordinary to say the least. What separated it from the others was how it was all imaginatively executed. Be it the metro fight sequence in the beginning, the fight between SRK and Deepika Padukone, the father-son combination fight, or the sequence where the old commandos take the fight to their enemies, everything took forward the narration and contributed to the story.

Supreme Sundar

Animal

The action in Animal looked inspired by the John Woo films of his Hong Kong phase. The axe fight sequence was as visceral as it could get. And the gun machine scene was never seen before in our films and took the proceedings to another level. The amount of gore on display was mind boggling, to say the least.

Ganpath

Ganpath is all about a supreme fighter fighting his way to glory and becoming a messiah for his people along the way. It boasts of stylised fighting sequences throughout the way, a la Tekken and the action directors have worked hard to make the bouts seem as authentic as possible.
