The makers of Parasyte: The Grey have unveiled an intriguing new poster along with the release date.

Adapted from the iconic manga series Parasyte by Hitoshi Iwaaki, Parasyte: The Grey will depict the events as enigmatic parasitic organisms’ descend to Earth from outer space, seeking to wield authority by feeding off of human hosts.

A per reports, Jeon So-nee will play the role of Jeong Su-in, a woman who becomes a target of one of the parasites. Instead of taking control of her brain, she forms an unusual coexistence with it. Goo Kyo-hwan will also appear in the series as Seol Kang-woo, who is determined to locate parasites in order to find his sister who has gone missing.


The series will be led by Yeon Sang Ho, the filmmaker behind the famous zombie movie Train to Busan and the successful Netflix show Hellbound. He will also collaborate with Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area writer Ryu Yong Jae to write the script.

The newly released poster shows strange spores of mysterious parasites falling on Earth, penetrating humans and causing diverse transformations. Su-in's face, half-transformed with a parasite tentacle, is at the centre, leaving viewers curious about the symbiosis with the parasites.

Parasyte: The Grey is slated to premiere on OTT on April 5, 2024.
